Ritalin (or?) Sustained Release

Hi All,

If you want to have a discussion about the pros & cons of meds for ADHD and or other psychiatric/behavioral  issues, feel free to start a new thread to do so.

What I want to know is if any of you guys has and ADHD kid or kids prescribed Ritalin or similar med.  The sustained release Ritalin LA and other similar slow-acting versions of these drugs are highly preferable to the first editions which need to be taken at least twice a day have a "seesaw" effect.  The sustained release versions (of any drug) are unfortunately probably more costly.

Anyway, they don't have them at the gov hospital pharmacy in Khon Kaen.  Does anyone have kids using these meds and has anyone found the sustained release versions available?

Feel free to PM me if you don't care to discuss it publicly.

Thanks, lah!
