Hi ForumMates!

Hopefully this will be a regular feature where I recommend books about Mind-Body . . . and All Things Thailand.  I promise, I won't recommend anything that I have not already read and found to be valuable, or educational or fun in some way.  Feel free to offer your pics as well.

MINDFULNESS For DUMMIES
« Reply #1 on: October 15, 2015, 09:27:57 AM »
Hi ForumMates!

Please don't be offput by the silly "Dummies" moniker.  The fact is that getting in with ". . . For Dummies" franchise is very difficult and much coveted, and pretty much guarantees a successful book to those authors who meet the Dummies standards.  Rest assured this and the companion workbook are real books  by a master teacher, a teacher-of-teachers and are as good an introduction to mindfulness meditation and mindful living as any you can find on the market.  A great way to get started. Available in hard copy and kindle formats.  If you buy the kindle format, there is a link inside the book pointing to where you can download the MP3 recordings of the guided meditations.

Last year, I took an online lab from one of Shamash's teachers which followed this book.  It was a rewarding experience and allowed me to kick start my mindfulness practice which up to that point had only been a dibble and a dabble.

Here is the write up from Amazon.com
